I would like to thank everyone who has contributed their time to the consultation process concerning the revitalization of Eastglen Leisure Centre. The information we received at the community conversation and through the online survey has led to a clearer understanding of how Eastglen Leisure Centre supports you and your neighbors.
In response to what we’ve heard, The City of Edmonton will not pursue Swimland learn-to-swim programs at Eastglen Leisure Centre. It will instead, invest in increasing community use based on comments and ideas captured through the consultation process.
A complete summary of the community conversation and survey results can be found HERE or at the facility.
I would like to invite you to our next open house on October 28, where you will be able to view and provide comments on recommendations to increase attendance based on what we heard from the community. City staff will also be on hand to address any questions you may have about the summary report.
The Eastglen Leisure Centre public open house will be held on:
Date: October 28, 2015
Time: 5-9 p.m. (please feel free to arrive anytime during this time)
Location: Royal Canadian Legion – Norwood Branch 178 (11150 82 St NW)
The revitalization of Eastglen Leisure Centre remains our priority through this process and I want to thank you again for your positive and thoughtful collaboration as we move towards a new and exciting future for the facility.
