In 2012, Tony took over as our Baseball Director starting up the Newton Knights with 3 teams and was awarded NEZ Baseball Director of the Year. Since then, under Tony’s leadership, our Baseball Program has grown to 6 teams in 2013 and 7 teams in 2014 for boys aged 3 to 15.
Our Baseball Program had an exceptionally proud year this year when our Bantam team won the ERRBL championship and our Mosquito coach, Nadine Parke, won the NEZ Community Coach of the Year. Tony was, for the second time, honoured by the NEZ by being named the Baseball Director of the Year. Tony is a great example of the difference one man can make to his community and in the lives of so many young people.
