Nordic Walking

Urban poling, also known as Nordic walking, is like cross-country skiing without the skis! Urban poling is a year-round outdoor activity for people of all ages and abilities, from super-sedentary to super fit. It’s easy to learn and has been shown to have both physical fitness and mental health benefits. Ideal for core strengthening, urban poling burns up to 46% more calories than regular walking and gives 90% of your muscles a work-out. Our neighbourhood urban poling sessions will include instruction on technique as well as additional stretches and exercises. Progression is at an individualized pace. No experience needed. Dress for exercise and appropriately for the weather. Poles are provided or bring your own.
